Experience the fun and excitement of Radio Control Pylon Racing

Two different racing events will be held each day. Each day a AMA SEMPRA Q-500 (modified 428) and an AMA (modified 424) race will be held, with separate matrixes.  The modified 424 event is a great way to experience racing with minimal start up costs and slower flight speeds.  The aircraft is a Q-500 type and the engine will be the Thunder Tiger PRO-40.  Have a plane already?  You would like to give it a try?  Call for information on acceptability of alternatives.  The modified 424 race is a newcomer event with fun for all that participate.  If you or your club has any interest, we have made arrangements for discounted combination plane/engine orders.  MPPA will supply the fuel and a propeller.

Call for information and a complete set of rules:

The races will be held Feb. 2 & 3.  We are planning to have our second AMA 424 race using the Thunder Tiger Pro 40.  If there are RCers you know that might like to participate, here’s the chance.  Get someone started in racing.  This is a beginner event to expand the participation in our sport.  We will be having more races in the future and welcome others.  We want newcomers to feel welcome and have an equal chance with other newcomers.  Trophies will be awarded for first through third place and fast time.  The rules are the same as they are for AMA 424 with the exception of the engine rule to allow the Thunder Tiger Pro 40.  We have been ordering these engines in combination with the Lanier Dominator Q-500 kit for a combo price of $105.00.  The new ARF and engine combo is $ 185.00!!!

Our normal SEMPRA race will be run also on these dates and look forward to having all the guys back.  We are running one matrix for SEMPRA and a separate matrix for 424.  The SEMPRA race will have all classes combined to one class as far as trophies are concerned.  First through third and fast time trophies will be awarded.
